Sun’s Shadow is a fictional journalistic investigation. It begins with a disease outbreak, presented in forged archives, data, and images. A sudden eye disease of unknown origin broke out near Ritan Park. As a reporter, I tried to explore the truth step by step and through collecting evidence, interviewing and photographing, but the investigation was gradually ended due to the spread of rumors.

This is a story based on reality, amplified, exaggerated and infused with imagination. The background of this series of work is the situation in which the COVID-19 epidemic gradually disappears around the world but still breaks out in China. As COVID-19 invades the fabric of human society, a post-pandemic perspective is bound to emerge. Therefore, I set the story of the emergence of a new “epidemic” in the post-epidemic era, and repeated the fear, despair, suspicion, anger, waiting for the dawn, reflecting on the remnants of illness gone.
